Dear Friends and Family,
I plan on getting a full update out to you soon but thought it was best to use this venue to bring you some timely news.
First, we are all doing well though it has taken me much more time to transition this time due to the very different nature of our coming home.  Though we came home as a family in May I had to quickly return to the field for some urgent business, the arrival of the long prayed for containers.  They arrived safely and all the goods were unloaded and dispersed of quickly to those who have waited so long.  Unfortunately some of the goods that remained in storage were the subject of a theft so please pray for the missionaries who have to handle this situation in a very difficult setting.  Upon returning we have had several conferences and some traveling to do and we have only recently been able to settle into some kind of routine.  Jessica seems to have settled well and reconnected with some friends from our previous home assignment.  She is enjoying her final year of high school.  The boys are glad to have us home and it is nice to make our house, just that again, with the addition of a nephew boarding with us.  I am largely still looking after things that need to be done at our house and Kathy is teaching another nephew who needs some extra help getting prepared for high school, on a daily basis.
Now to the timely information.  As most of you know mom was in the hospital a couple of months ago.  Since then she had gone back to her room at the home but on Friday woke up very short of breath and was re-admitted to University hospital in London.  Since then she has gone through several heart failures and is currently in palliation care.  Her room at this writing is 7-109 and we are expecting her to join dad and other friends that have gone on before in the coming days.  I am updating daily info on facebook for those who are interested.  Thank-you for your prayers in advance and I will try to inform you in this way when we have further information.
blessings,
Paul for the family
